On the 4th of May Wil Hendricks and Bert van Buggenum will start a charity bike ride to Rome. They have decided to raise funds for the support of research and cure for Alzheimer’s. While our main goal is raising money for Alzheimer’s, The money raised by us will also be used for research in various European research institutes. While it’s true that the majority of people with dementia are over 65, the condition is not a normal part of getting older. The likelihood of developing dementia rises with age, but it’s not a given that an older person will develop it.
The reason we choose Alzheimer’s is as both of us have had personal experiences in dealing with this heartbreaking disease. There s no cure at present for this disease which is already affecting millions of people. It’s expected that as globally the population is getting older and the baby boomers from the 50s are coming of age we should see more people getting affected.
There are many ways that lead to Rome however we would like to celebrate this journey by stopping at many trusted customers of HYVA. The journey is starting with one of our big customers, Sevriens B.V. in Echt (Netherlands)
